Week 19: Saul Preaches in Damascus and Jerusalem

Saul’s Immediate Change
- After his conversion, Saul immediately began preaching in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.
- People were amazed because Saul had been persecuting Christians just days before.
Saul’s Escape from Damascus
- Saul’s bold preaching angered some Jews, and they plotted to kill him.
- His followers helped him escape by lowering him in a basket through an opening in the city wall.
Saul’s Return to Jerusalem
- When Saul returned to Jerusalem, the believers were initially afraid of him.
- Barnabas vouched for Saul, and he began preaching boldly in Jerusalem as well.
Life Applications:
- When God changes your life, don’t be afraid to tell others about it, even if they’re surprised.
- Be willing to stand up for someone who needs support, like Barnabas did for Saul.
- Know that following Jesus might come with challenges, but God will provide a way for you to keep going.
