Preaching and Opposition in Iconium

  • Paul and Barnabas preached in Iconium, and many Jews and Gentiles believed. However, opposition grew, and they eventually had to flee the city.

Paul Heals a Crippled Man in Lystra

  • In Lystra, Paul healed a man who had been lame from birth. The people, thinking Paul and Barnabas were gods, tried to offer sacrifices to them.
  • Paul and Barnabas quickly corrected them, pointing the crowd to the true God.

Paul Stoned and Left for Dead

  • After some Jews from Antioch and Iconium stirred up trouble, Paul was stoned and left for dead. However, he miraculously survived and continued preaching the Gospel.

Returning to Strengthen the Churches

  • Despite the dangers, Paul and Barnabas returned to the cities they had preached in to strengthen the disciples and appoint leaders in the churches.
