Paul’s Arrival in Rome

  • Upon reaching Rome, Paul was allowed to live under house arrest while awaiting trial. Even in captivity, Paul continued to preach the Gospel, welcoming all who came to visit him.

Paul’s Bold Preaching

  • Paul proclaimed the message of Jesus to the Jews and Gentiles in Rome, despite opposition. The book of Acts ends with Paul boldly preaching the kingdom of God without hindrance, demonstrating the unstoppable nature of God’s mission.

Acts Ends, but the Mission Continues

  • Although the book of Acts concludes with Paul’s house arrest, it leaves the reader with a sense of anticipation. The spread of the Gospel continues, as it is carried on by Paul’s disciples and future generations of believers.

Life Applications:

  • God’s mission continues, even when circumstances seem limiting. Like Paul, we can find ways to share the Gospel, no matter where we are.
  • Boldness in sharing our faith is essential. Don’t let opposition stop you from proclaiming the truth.
  • The story of Acts reminds us that God’s work isn’t finished. We are part of His ongoing mission to spread the Gospel.

Discussion Questions:

  1. How did Paul continue his ministry while under house arrest, and what can we learn from his determination?
  2. Why is it important to be bold in sharing the Gospel, even in difficult circumstances?
  3. How can we carry on the mission of the early church in our own lives today?
