Verses Covered: Acts 28:1–16

Paul’s Arrival on Malta

  • After surviving the shipwreck, Paul and the others landed on the island of Malta. The islanders welcomed them and built a fire to warm them.

Paul’s Miraculous Survival

  • As Paul was gathering firewood, a poisonous snake bit him. The islanders expected him to die, but Paul shook off the snake and suffered no harm. This miracle led the people to believe that Paul was under divine protection.

Paul Heals the Sick

  • While on Malta, Paul healed the father of the chief official, as well as others who were sick on the island. The people honored Paul and his companions before they set sail for Rome.

Life Applications:

  • God’s protection extends even in the most dangerous situations, as seen in Paul’s miraculous survival from the snakebite.
  • Use opportunities to serve others, as Paul did when he healed the sick on Malta. Even in difficult times, we can be a blessing to those around us.
  • Trust that God can work through any circumstance to further His plan and bring glory to His name.
