Week 51: The Shipwreck
Verses Covered: Acts 27:27–44
The Ship Runs Aground
- After two weeks of being driven by the storm, the ship approached land. The crew attempted to save themselves by abandoning ship, but Paul urged everyone to stay aboard. He assured them that God had promised they would all survive if they remained together.
Everyone Survives
- As the ship began to break apart, the passengers and crew either swam or floated on debris to reach the shore. Just as God had promised, everyone made it to land safely.
Paul’s Leadership
- Even though Paul was a prisoner, he took on a leadership role during the crisis, offering wisdom and reassurance that helped save everyone on board.
Life Applications:
- God’s promises are sure, even when circumstances seem impossible. Trust His word and hold onto hope.
- Sometimes, God places us in positions of leadership or influence in the midst of crises, even when we feel powerless.
- Unity and cooperation can be essential in overcoming challenges. Stick together with others and trust God’s guidance.
