Week 31: Paul’s Second Missionary Journey Begins

Paul and Barnabas Disagree
- Paul and Barnabas had a disagreement over whether to bring John Mark with them on their next journey. They eventually parted ways, with Barnabas taking John Mark and Paul choosing Silas as his new companion.
Timothy Joins Paul
- In Lystra, Paul met Timothy, a young disciple, and invited him to join the journey. Timothy became an important figure in Paul’s ministry.
The Macedonian Call
- While in Troas, Paul had a vision of a man from Macedonia asking for help. Paul and his companions immediately set out for Macedonia, believing God had called them to preach there.
Life Applications:
- Disagreements can happen, but God can still use them for His purposes.
- Be open to mentoring and discipling younger believers, as Paul did with Timothy.
- Be sensitive to God’s leading, even if it means changing your plans, like Paul did when he received the Macedonian call.
