Week 48: Paul Before King Agrippa

Verses Covered: Acts 25:13–26:32

Paul’s Defense Before Agrippa

  • Festus presented Paul’s case to King Agrippa, who expressed interest in hearing from Paul himself. During the trial, Paul gave a powerful testimony, sharing the story of his conversion and his mission to preach the Gospel to the Gentiles.

Agrippa’s Response

  • Agrippa acknowledged that Paul had done nothing deserving death or imprisonment, but Paul’s appeal to Caesar meant that his case would proceed to Rome.
  • Agrippa famously remarked, “In a short time, you would persuade me to be a Christian.”

Life Applications:

  • Always be ready to share your testimony, even in front of powerful or influential people.
  • Some may come close to believing in Jesus, as Agrippa did, but choose not to follow through. Keep sharing the truth regardless of the response.
  • Trust that God can use your story to touch the hearts of people in unexpected places.

Discussion Questions:

  1. How did Paul use his defense before Agrippa as an opportunity to share his testimony?
  2. What does Agrippa’s response teach us about the reactions people may have to the Gospel?
  3. How can we be faithful in sharing our testimony, even when the outcome is uncertain?
