Lord’s Super Devotion: A New Beginning in Christ

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

Context and Commentary:
Paul reminds the Corinthians that in Christ, we become new creations. Our old lives, marked by sin, are gone, and we are made new in Him. This transformation is ongoing, as we grow in our faith and become more like Christ.

Devotion:
The Lord’s Supper is a reminder of the new life we have in Christ. When we take the bread and the cup, we are celebrating the fact that we are new creations. Our old lives, with their sins and failures, are gone. We have been made new by His grace. Let’s take this moment to thank God for the new beginning we have in Him and commit to living in a way that reflects this transformation.
